El Mas d’Edetària Selecció, by Edetària (DO Terra Alta) has been acknowledged as Vi de Finca by INCAVI (Catalan Institute of Wine) and recognized under E.U. standards as Estate Wine. Thus joining a very selective club of 12 wines with this award, and being granted Top Qualification for a wine made in Catalunya. Such award is due to both the unique soil and climatic characteristics distinguishing the wines made from grapes from Finca el Mas, and to the wine’s national and international prestige built over the last ten years. In doing so, El Mas d’Edetària Selecció will be made under the most demanding protocol for yields and traceability .
Finca Mas d’Edetària estate is located in Gandesa (Tarragona), where Edetària cellar was built. Qualified blocks are 1,18ha from Garnatxa Peluda, Garnatxa Fina and Carinyena. Old vines surrounding the winery and highlighting the highest soil expression and Mediterranean nature of Edetària wines.

About the wine
El Mas d’Edetària Selecció is made Garnatxa Peluda, Garnatxa Fina and Carinyena. Rich and complex aromas carry a wide range of grape varietals and all the uniqueness of Tapas and Tapàs blanc soils where vines grow. Aged for 12 months in French oak 500l. barrels giving harmony to the whole. Purple coloured, shows balsamic flavour and rich spice aromas, with a light swirl appear red currants, cherry, and species. Medium to full bodied on the palate with an excellent depth of flavour, and velvety nicely integrated tannins. Outstanding complexity and elegance paired with remarkable acidity.
