Thus joining a very selective club of 12 wines with this award, and being granted\u00a0 Top Qualification for a wine made in Catalunya. Such award is due to both the unique soil and climatic characteristics distinguishing the wines made from grapes from Finca el Mas, and to the wine&#8217;s national and international prestige built over the last ten years. In doing so, <em><b>El Mas d\u2019Edet\u00e0ria Selecci\u00f3 <\/b><\/em>will be made under\u00a0 the most demanding protocol for yields and traceability .<\/p>\n<p>Finca Mas d\u2019Edet\u00e0ria estate is located in Gandesa (Tarragona), where\u00a0 Edet\u00e0ria cellar\u00a0 was built. Qualified blocks are 1,18ha from <strong>Garnatxa Peluda, Garnatxa Fina and <\/strong><strong>Carinyena<\/strong>. Old vines surrounding the winery and highlighting the highest soil expression and Mediterranean nature of Edet\u00e0ria wines.<\/p>\n<p>Joan Angel Lliberia, \u201cit is such an honour to receive this acknowledgement to authenticity and our labour&#8217;s singularity; a labour focused in making wines with indigenous grapes in a unique terroir of a strong personality\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><strong>About the wine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>El Mas d\u2019Edet\u00e0ria Selecci\u00f3 <\/em>is made\u00a0 Garnatxa Peluda, Garnatxa Fina and\u00a0 Carinyena. Rich and complex aromas carry\u00a0 a wide range of grape varietals and all the uniqueness of Tapas and Tap\u00e0s blanc soils where vines grow. Aged for 12 months in French oak 500l. barrels giving harmony to the whole. Purple coloured, shows balsamic flavour and rich spice aromas, with a light swirl appear red currants, cherry, and species. Medium to full bodied on the palate with an excellent depth of flavour, and velvety nicely integrated tannins.
